Leadership FAQ

Elected positions on the FSMB Board of Directors include the Chair-elect, Treasurer and Directors-at-Large:

• Chair-elect serves for three years: one year as Chair-elect, one year as Chair, and one year as Immediate Past Chair
• Treasurer serves a three-year term
• Directors-at-Large serve three-year terms

Candidates running for seats on the FSMB Board of Directors are elected by FSMB's House of Delegates. The right to vote at meetings of FSMB's House of Delegates is vested in, and restricted to, Member Medical Boards. Each Member Medical Board is entitled to one vote, which is cast by the designated voting delegate of that Member Medical Board.

Serving on the FSMB Board of Directors is a rewarding experience that offers the opportunity to help shape national policy on important issues in health care. You will play an instrumental role in helping FSMB achieve its vision and mission.
